Thank you!!!!!
I totally agree, the first-gen TT looks awesome. Just too bad it’s unreliable though :(

cough flight attendant mobile.
Jk, I like the TT.

Looks like some curves here - the TT went on an exercise and diet regimen and toned up a bit.

1. Buy 1st gen TT 1.8T 225hp for $6K
2. Take to APR and have them do stage 3+ for another $6k
3. enjoy your $12K 325hp AWD rocket

Totally. The first gen TT was an Art Deco masterpiece. Afterwards, it was like, “maybe if we threw in a bit of Accord Coupe, and that Ford grille the kids these days are all into...”

Im not sure I would want to force that much power through a 6k Audi. Maybe a nice clean low mile example.

Around the same time that R8 took a dive.
And really, the 2nd-gen is, IMHO, better looking than both first and third.
And none of them hold a candle to the first Quattro Sport Concept.
It is a travesty that they didn’t build this car on a shortened A5.
A5 should be aligned on price, amenities, and details with A6 and A7, even if it still shares A4’s smaller footprint.
Quattro Sport could have been at A4’s price point, with a simple, but well done interior, 6-speed or DSG gearbox, and the E888 turbo engine, and torque-vectoring rear diff, in a steel chassis and unibody, with perhaps a few aluminum bits. Quattro S equivalent to S4 with the supercharged or turbocharged V6, and Quattro RS equivalent to RS4/RS5, with carbon fiber, and the turbo I5 half-a-V10 engine like the concept car.
TT is expensive, and makes A5 look like a decent deal.

Nah son, 2nd gen. APR can give you 600hp.

Thank you! I’d say the 1st gen TT is one of the best car designs from the past 20 years, and I don’t even like audis that much

I dunno those first gen TT’s always remind me of a suppository on wheels;)

that's the RS though.... stock they make 345, and it's a much better engine overall stock

Spend $12k replacing blown engine.

meh. drive it till it starts making bad noises, then either part-out or sell to someone not too intelligent :P

$6k for 100 hp? No thanks.
![]() 10/15/2015 at 18:15 |

You’re right, you should get a $2k Audi TT so you have a lot of headroom left over for a junkyard engine replacement when the first one goes el poppo.

Well yea, but if we’re talking about TTs and APR it deserves a mention.
![]() 10/15/2015 at 18:32 |

No no, we’re talking about designed with curves, not carving curves on any surface in the world. :P

First gen TTs are rolling art.

Sorry, you're incorrect. I have never seen a more attractive vehicle than the current TTRS.
